For more than a decade, Kratos Networks has been providing advanced solutions to some of the most rigorous, security-conscious networks in the world. We don’t just develop network management products, we design, plan and manage mission critical networks ourselves. Such as supporting the UCLA Medical Center’s network modernization effort, consolidating multiple independent networks at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and running outsourced IT services for businesses and government agencies.

Our products share that pedigree. From being used to manage the network backbone of the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Global Information Grid (GIG), to solving the daily performance problems of mid-sized businesses, Kratos’ products help network operations teams assure the reliability, availability and security of their IT infrastructure.

Hands-on Network Experience

Managing networks on-the-ground for our clients 24x7 provides insight into the technical and security challenges that IT managers really face. It also taught us the fundamental principle that underlies our products: No matter how similar they may seem, all networks are different. And they change. A lot.

It’s not always just about scale. Once a network reaches a certain level of mission-criticality, complexity or distribution, network professionals must have the flexibility to change and adapt their management practices on the fly. Fixed visualizations and rigid rules may be OK for simple networks, but standardized solutions can only go so far. At some point rules must evolve, new technologies must be integrated, custom views are required ... and more.

Smaller tools are unable to provide that flexibility and although traditional enterprise tools can do it, they require much programming, time and expense to make it happen. Kratos solutions are designed to bring these enterprise class capabilities to networks of any size, and to make them much easier and less expensive to leverage.

Powerful and Flexible Solutions

The Kratos Management Platform was originally conceived and architected by former Sprint network engineers who needed a toolkit to more easily adapt data collection and management processes in their complex, changing, heterogeneous environment. It was engineered to be an out-of-the-box product that would operate like a custom solution and readily support an organization’s unique mission needs. The architecture allows maximum flexibility to customize data collection and display for better situational awareness and a consolidated network view.

The platform is the foundation for both our  enterprise class network management product, NeuralStar, and business class monitoring solution, dopplerVUE. Employing a highly adaptable data model and drag-and-drop-interface, both solutions are more responsive and flexible than other solutions in their class. For example, in head-to-head proofs of concept against solutions from well-known, enterprise-grade vendors, NeuralStar has been shown to do in mere hours what the other products could not accomplish with a team of programmers working for weeks.

NeuralStar’s sister product, dopplerVUE, brings this power and adaptability to business-class networks, including features once only available in true enterprise-class products like NeuralStar. With no add-ons or extra modules to buy, dopplerVUE provides out-of-the box connectivity to all IP-enabled elements through ICMP, SNMP (including custom MIBs), syslog, NetFlow, Windows Event Log and WMI to provide fully-integrated monitoring within minutes of installation.
