Kratos Named to Cisco Technology Ecosystem Program Leveraging IT and Public Safety Synergies

Kratos Delivers Cross-Domain Capabilities as Network Operations, Cybersecurity, Physical Security, and Situational Awareness Continue to Converge

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 22, 2010 —Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading national security solutions provider, today announced that at Cisco’s invitation it has joined the Technology Ecosystem Program with an emphasis on networked physical security. Also announced was Kratos’ certification as a Cisco Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) for physical access control products.  Kratos is only the second organization in the nation to achieve this certification, which enables Kratos to provide solution services for Cisco’s physical security solutions portfolio.

The Cisco partnership highlights the growing synergies between Kratos’ IT Solutions Division, developers of the proprietary NeuralStar® and dopplerVUE® network and IT management and protection products, and its Public Safety and Security Division, a leading provider of completely integrated security, surveillance, and advanced life safety systems for government and commercial critical infrastructure and strategic asset protection applications. With solutions and expertise in these critical areas, Kratos is able to approach Homeland Security and public safety challenges with a deeper understanding of both technology domains. As Internet Protocol (IP) technology continues to become the unified platform for these systems, the domains of network operations, cybersecurity, physical security, and situational awareness will continue to converge.

Event sources can include anything from network infrastructure to servers, identity management solutions, video surveillance feeds, and virtually any device that can be connected to the network.

Kratos’ recent announcement of its intention to acquire Henry Bros. Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq:HBE) highlights the bridge between the technology domains. HBE is a leading pure play provider of Homeland Security solutions, products, and system integration services. Among its customers are offices and transportation centers, including tunnels and airfields that are significant prospective targets of both terrorist attacks and traditional security threats. HBE’s expertise in the design, engineering, and deployment of specialized surveillance, thermal imaging, analytics, radar, and biometrics security systems deepens Kratos’ solutions portfolio even further.
